A London resident for over 30 years, Lance Ceaser is a two-time alumnus of Western University, where he obtained an Honours B.A. in English (1992) and his law degree (2002). Lance also attended the University of New Brunswick, where he earned his M.A. in English (Creative Writing) in 1995. While attending Western Law, Lance received numerous academic awards, including the Gold Medal for his graduating class, with the highest average over all three years of the degree program. He has completed mediation training through Western's Dispute Resolution Centre, and completed the Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop (Osgoode Hall CLE) in 2008.
Lance was called to the bar in 2003, and has practised solely in the field of labour and employment law throughout his professional career. He has appeared before the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice, and various mediators,labour arbitrators and administrative decision-makers over the course of his career. Lance is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Middlesex Law Association, the London Chamber of Commerce and the London & District Chapter of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario..
Lance has been a member of the Board of Directors of Youth Opportunities Unlimited, a volunteer with London Lawyers Feed the Hungry, and is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Governance Committee of Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario. Lance lives with his spouse and two dogs in London, Ontario, and is a fan of alternative and indie music.
